Jesus had power to cast out a demon
He would heal the dying, raise dead men,
Speak wisdom, calm a storm, charm a villain
Crash hell's gates and open doors of heaven
Exciting, but power frightens us
We have resisted the glorious
For we're preferring safe, mundane,
Unforgiving, and comfortably insane
Imagining we are alive not dead
Choose to beat up each other instead
